Using the Address Book
From Phanfare Support
To help you avoid having to enter the email addresses of your friends and family each time you send an invitation, Phanfare Photo provides an address book in which you can store frequently used email addresses.
If you use Microsoft Windows
You can edit the address book by clicking the Edit Address Book button on the Select Recipients page of the Invitation Wizard or by choosing "Address Book" from the Share menu. You can create groups, individual contacts, and import addresses from popular email programs and services such as Yahoo! Address Book, AOL (6.0 and above), Hotmail and Microsoft Outlook.
Note: Phanfare Photo currently does not support direct import from Microsoft Outlook Express. You can use the CSV Import feature to import contacts from Microsoft Outlook Express.
If you use a Mac
- Open Phanfare Photo.
- Select the "Share -> Address Book" menu item.
- Click "Add Contact" to add a new contact.
- Click "Add Group" to create a new email group.
If you are looking to import an address book from another application, you must first import it into your Mac address book. So in the original application, save/export the file as a .csv file. Launch the Address book in your Applications folder. When launched, go to File-->Import--Text file and choose that csv file you just saved. This will import the addresses into your Mac address book.
Launch Phanfare and go to Address Book and click import. You are then shown the contacts in your Mac address book. Choose the contacts you want in your Phanfare address book.
