Reordering Images
Once your thumbnail photos appear in the right-hand side of Phanfare Photo, you can reorder the images within the album simply by clicking on a thumbnail to highlight it, then dragging the thumbnail to the position in the album where you want it. A black vertical line appears to show you the position where Phanfare Photo will place the thumbnail.
Sorting Images
If you use Microsoft Windows
Phanfare Photo lets you sort images via the View menu. By default, images in an album appear in the order in which you imported them into Phanfare Photo. If you choose Sort By Date, then the images will be sorted by the date the picture was taken if your camera includes EXIF information in your photos (most new cameras do). If no EXIF information is available (you can right-click a thumbnail, choose Properties, then the EXIF tab to check), then Sort By Date uses the date you imported the image into Phanfare Photo. If you choose Sort By Name, the images will be sorted by their original filenames (when you imported them). To view the original name, right-click a thumbnail and choose Properties. Because of the naming schemes of many digital cameras, Sort By Name will often yield the order in which you originally took the pictures, and therefore can be used as a proxy for sorting by date in the absence of EXIF information.
If you use a Mac
- Open Phanfare Photo.
- Select an album in the left-hand album list.
- Select the "View -> Arrange Images By" menu.
- Choose one of the options to sort your photos.
