Phanfare phriends
From Phanfare Support
If you have friends or family members who have Phanfare photo sites, you can use the Phanfare Phriends feature to post a link to their sites off the bottom of your Table of Contents page (see illustration below). This feature is just one more way Phanfare is making it easier for families and friends to share their photos and stay in touch.
To use this feature, you must use the Phanfare Phriends management tool in the Phanfare Photo application to request permission from the Phanfare user you want to link to. Once permission has been granted, a link to your friend’s/family member’s site will appear at the bottom of your Phanfare site. You can also give permission for a link to your site to be posted at the bottom of your friend’s/family member’s Phanfare site.
If you have a password on your site and a visitor is coming to your site from a Phanfare Phriend’s site that also has a password, visitors will not be prompted to enter your password, too. If visitors are coming from a Phanfare Phriend’s site that does not require a password, they will be prompted to enter your site’s password to view your albums.
If you do not have a password on your site, visitors from any of your Phanfare Phriend’s sites will be able to view your albums.
When you make somebody your Phanfare phriend, you are allowing people from your friend's website to enter your website without entering your password (provided that they have password protection) but that trust does not extend further. For example, if Bob trusts his sister Mary and Mary trusts her friend Cindy, the people who click through from Cindy to Mary's album will be prompted for Bob's password if they then click through to Bob's album.
