Importing and sharing photos and videos from a camera phone

From Phanfare Support

Many phones now have the ability to take pictures and even videos. The pictures that camera phones take range from horrible to pretty good, but they are getting better every day. For convenience, you can't beat a camera phone since the cell phone is more likely to be with you than any other device.

We're pleased to announce that Pictavision has added Phanfare to their mobile photo sharing application available on Verizon, Sprint and many other cellular carriers. Using the Pictavision application (available in the Get It Now PIX & FLIX section on Verizon Wireless phones) you can upload photos from your phone to your Phanfare account, as well as view photos from Phanfare albums on your phone. Read more at Pictavision Mobile Phone Application.

You can also share and enjoy your photos on Phanfare from your mobile phone for free. Phanfare supports most major US camera phone carriers through email importing of photos and video. You shoot the picture or video with your camera phone and then use your phone to email the photo or video to your Phanfare account.

To use your camera phone to email photos or video conveniently you should put your special mobile-photos email address into the address book of your phone. Email photos or video from your camera phone by attaching the photo or video you took to the email message to Phanfare. The subject line of the message becomes the caption for the attached image or video. You can attach more than one photo or video, but the total email size is limited to 20MB.

NOTE: Sprint currently doesn't seem to let customers email photos and videos directly from a mobile phone to a non-Sprint phone email address. Instead, you're mailed a link to see the photo or video on Sprint's Picture Mail service. For this reason, these phones cannot be used to send photos and videos to Phanfare.
