Hiding photos and videos within albums
From Phanfare Support
You can hide individual images and videos so that they do not appear on your Phanfare website, but are still hosted within your Phanfare account.
Using this feature, you can shoebox your less desirable images and videos, while still retaining them for your own personal use. This gives you all the benefits of Phanfare's backup, universal access, editing and organizational tools for the parts of your collection that are not critical to telling a story within your album but are still worth retaining.
For example, if you shoot 20 pictures of the same person in tight sequence, you can hide 19 of them but publish the best one for others to view.
From a workflow standpoint, this feature allows you to drag and drop all the photo and videos from an event into Phanfare but publish a smaller subset on your website.
You can hide individual photos and videos or select multiple photos and videos and hide them all at once.
Photos and videos that are hidden can still be accessed and edited from within the Phanfare desktop application.
Hidden images are greyed out in the desktop application's thumbnail view and Turbo Caption mode.
If you use Windows
- Open the Phanfare desktop application
- Select one or more photos or videos, right-click and check the option "Don't Show on Website" or press Ctrl-H.
If you use a Mac
- Open the Phanfare desktop application
- Select the images and videos that you want to hide and control click (or right click if you have a 2-button mouse) and select the option "Don't Show on Website".
