Emailing photos and videos to your albums
From Phanfare Support
You can email photos and videos from a computer or camera cell phone to your Phanfare Account. This feature provides convenient mobile access to Phanfare.
NOTE: Sprint currently doesn't seem to let customers email photos and videos directly from a mobile phone to a non-Sprint phone email address. Instead, you're mailed a link to see the photo or video on Sprint's Picture Mail service. For this reason, these phones cannot be used to send photos and videos to Phanfare.

Emailing photos to your Phanfare account
Once you set up your Phanfare email address, you can send photos to it.
- Address the message to user-mobileimportpassword@photos.phanfare.com, where "user" is your account name and "mobilepassword" is the special password you set up for mobile access.
- If sending to more than one email address, make sure the Phanfare email address is listed first or it won't go through.
- Attach one or more photos to the email address.
- If you want, you can add a subject to the email address. The subject will become the caption of the photo.
- Send the message. It will show up in an album called Mobile Photos.
Note: We will accept emails with up to 20MB of attachments, but your email provider might enforce significantly lower limits.
If you use a Mac to email your photos and use Apple's Mail.app program, you must check the box to "maintain compatibility with Windows" when sending multiple attachments. If only sending one attachment, this box does not need to be checked.
Sending photos to Phanfare from a cell phone
Most camera phones allow you to email photos or videos to any address. The exact method will vary by cell phone. Just send your cell phone photos to your mobile Phanfare email address. If sending to more than one email address, make sure the Phanfare email address is listed first or it won't go through.
Displaying mobile photos on your Phanfare web site
By default, your Mobile Photos album will not be shown on your web site. Many users prefer to use Phanfare Photo to arrange their mobile photos for public display. But it is easy to make your mobile photos publicly available on your web site as soon as they arrive.
If you rename the Mobile Photos album, it will no longer be the repository for emailed pictures. Instead, Phanfare will create a new Mobile Photos album then next time emailed photos arrive.
If you use Microsoft Windows
- Open the Phanfare Photo software.
- Right-click on the Mobile Photos album.
- Select "Properties".
- Check the box labeled "Show on Website".
- Click "Update".
If you use a Mac
- Open the Phanfare Photo software.
- Select the Mobile Photos album.
- Select the "Album -> Album Security" menu.
- Uncheck the box labeled "Inherity website security settings".
- Check the box labeled "Show this album on the website".
- Click "Done".
