Phanfare Support Site

Downloading full-size versions

From Phanfare Support

As explained in the "How does Phanfare work?" help section, when you import a photo into Phanfare Photo, a web-sized version is immediately uploaded to your website followed by the full-size version. Thumbnails will show the yellow icon pictured below when the full-size image has not yet been uploaded. You know the full-size version has been uploaded to your site when the yellow icon is not shown. Once the full-size image is uploaded to your site, it is available for visitors to download (as long as you don't turn off this feature to prevent visitors from downloading the fullsize original images).

  • If you are using Microsoft Windows:

  • If you are using a Mac:

To download a full-size original of an image on your photo website, visitors should go to the album where the image is. If the album uses the default layout (series of thumbnails), visitors should click on the thumbnail for the image they want. Then visitors will see the image on the full screen (700 pixels wide/tall) and can click on the "Download original" link on the top left of the photo (shown below) to download the full-size version of the image.

If using the alternate layout, visitors must click on the thumbnail of the image they want and then click on the medium-sized image that appears on the right to get to the full screen image where the "Download original" link appears.
