Creating your first album

If you use Microsoft Windows
Welcome to Phanfare wizard
The first time you launch Phanfare, you're presented with the Welcome to Phanfare new user wizard. The wizard will walk you through naming your site, setting up a site description, choosing a look for your site, setting a site password, and creating your first album.
The most difficult step for most users is bringing in all of the images and videos in a folder at once. There are two fairly simple methods for doing this. You can click outside the images and drag the mouse across all of the files, or you can click on a single image and press Ctrl-A. Then click Open.
Manually creating an album
If you chose not to create an album using the wizard, here's how you can create a new Album.
- Click the "Create album" button on the toolbar.
- Provide some information about your new album.
- Album Name will appear on the main page of your web site and at the top of the album.
- Description will appear on the main page of your album.
- Album Date determines the order that your albums appear in. Check the "Automatically detect date from images" checkbox if you want Phanfare to match the album date to the date the photos in the album were taken.
- Click the Security tab to set security parameters for this album that differ from your overall site security, such as an album-specific password or disabling printing on just this one album.
- Click the Slideshow tab tab to set slideshow options that differ from your site's defaults.
- Click the "Create" button.
- That's it! You can now start adding photos and video to your album.
If you use a Mac
1. Click the "Create album" icon to create your first album.
2. Enter a name for the album.
3. Select the "Album -> Album Options" menu.
4. Enter information about your new album.
- Album Name will appear on the main page of your web site.
- Description will appear on the main page of your album.
- Album Date determines the order that your albums appear in. Check the "Automatically detect date from images" checkbox if you want Phanfare to match the album date to the date the photos were taken.
5. Click the "Done" button.
6. That's it! You can now start adding photos and videos to your album.
