Creating a site password

From Phanfare Support

By default, Phanfare does not require visitors to enter a password to view your Table of Contents. By setting a site password, you can restrict access to the front page of your site. You should also be aware that Phanfare does not allow search engines to index your site by default, but you can change that setting and allow the search engines in if you desire.

You can also set passwords on individual albums in addition to, or instead of setting a site password.

If you use Microsoft Windows

  1. Open Phanfare Photo.
  2. Select the "Share -> Website Options..." menu.
  3. Select the "Security" tab.
  4. Check the “Password Required for Web Access” checkbox.
  5. Enter a site password in the field labeled "Access Password".
  6. Specify the length of time that may pass before a guest has to sign in again. For example, if you enter 3 days, then a guest only has to sign in once every 3 days to view your web site.
  7. Press "OK".
