Correcting Videos That Appear Too Fat or Too Skinny
From Phanfare Support
If you shoot video with certain camcorders and other devices, you may find that your videos appear to be too fat (stretched) or too skinny (compressed) when played back on your Phanfare website. This is because these devices don't use square pixels.
If you use the Windows version of the Phanfare desktop application, you can fix the presentation of these widescreen videos by right-clicking on the video and selecting Properties. Then, select the appropriate aspect ratio and click OK.
Aspect Ratios
- 1.33: Use this setting if your videos appear to be too wide.
- 1.50: This is the standard setting and works well for videos taken on digital cameras
- 1.77: Use this setting if your videos appear to be compressed.
